Atlantic market: producers finally find a balance

As coal prepares for the CoalTrans conference in Berlin in October, the Atlantic coal market is in strong recovery as pricing from South African and Colombian producers has surged by $5-6/t over the past few weeks.

Just when the international coal industry was making appointments for its buyers and sellers to meet at CoalTrans 2002 in Berlin - this year scheduled for the end of October - many were caught out by the Atlantic coal market in strong recovery.
