German manufacturers drawn overseas by increasing coal demand
While their domestic customers suffer from reductions in subsidies, German handling equipment manufacturers are successfully selling around the world
German bulk handling equipment manufacturers traditionally represent the dominant European source of heavy handling and mining plant, even though its domestic mining activities are now considered sunset industries.
All German manufacturers are now heavily export orientated, although there is still some activity within Germany. Kocks, for instance, has recently delivered a quayside gantry crane at Hansaport in Hamburg, which is experiencing record imports....
