Chain gang gets to work in coal terminals

A well-designed and engineered energy chain installation can help keep maintenance costs and downtime in check.

On the handling equipment side, one of the biggest headaches for bulk terminals is cable management, particularly in exposed and/ or windy locations where festoons can get blown about and caught up and guidance systems are subject to corrosion and abrasion from salt air, coal dust etc. Over time these problems can account for many hours of lost availability....
