Mixed signals from global markets

The financial crisis that has struck economies across the world has had a varied effect on international coal markets.

The effects of the world’s deepest recession since the 1930s appear to be diminishing as global stock markets continue their rally through April. This is certainly a positive sign for coal producers, but there are many other signals out there at the moment and they are very mixed....
