Luscar close Gregg River

Leading Canadian producer Luscar announced in late May the orderly closure of the Gregg River mine near Hinton, Alberta.

The mine will cease production at the end of August. Low coal prices resulting from the protracted decline in export coal markets, high production costs and recently encountered unfavourable geological conditions have resulted in the decision to permanently close the mine....
