Surprise choice of CSU for EECV coal terminal

Rotterdam's iron ore terminal EECV has decided on its plans for a new coal port on its original site, including the use of a continuous shipunloader (CSU) rather than Rotterdam's traditionally favoured grab unloaders.

This was revealed by Dr. Ing. Lutz Petermann, VP Sales and engineering, FAM Magdeburger (FAM), speaking at the recent Bulk Terminal Operations Conference in Rotterdam. He said that the new facility in the Dintelhaven complex will occupy 36ha and have a handling capacity of 5.5mta with storage capacity of 0.85mt....
