A new rail link and port development recently approved by the Colombian government could boost coal production there to 78 mt in the next four years.
The projects, which include a new rail track running parallel to the existing line between La Loma and the port of Santa Marta, will increase transportation capacity by 25 mtpa to 50 mtpa.
