New Zealand’s Climate Change ter Pete Hodgson has released information showing NZ will in fact be a purchaser of carbon credits under the Kyoto protocol rather than a seller.
Earlier projections were that NZ had around 33 mt of credits to sell but a 24 per cent upward revision in vehicle emissions and a 35 per cent cut in forests eligible as carbon sinks means the country will actually exceed its Kyoto net emissions target by 36 mt over the period 2008 to 2012....
