Ridley Terminals Inc, the major coal loading facility near the Port of Prince Rupert in northern British Colombia, has been ordered by the Canadian Government not to sign contracts for the handling of any commodities at its terminal facilities situated on Ridley Island, without the written consent of the Minister of Transport.
The Order-In-Council was issued as Ottawa negotiates the sale of the government-owned facility. In its efforts to sell the terminal, Transport Canada issued a Request For Proposals two years ago and, of those, picked Fortune Minerals as the lead proponent....
