Baltic Coal Terminal (BCT), a joint venture of Latvian stevedoring firm Ventspils Tirdzniecibas Osta (VTO) and Indtec Baltic Coal (IBC), affiliated with the Dutch owner of a Siberian coal producer, has received a syndicated banking credit of €25.7 mill to build a coal export terminal in the Port of Ventspils.
The credit was granted by a partnership of three Latvian banks, Nord/LB Latvija, SEB Unibanka and HVB Bank Latvia. VTO and IBC are themselves putting up €12.3 mill as the balance of the €38 mill required for the terminal’s construction....
