A new coal trading and logistics services company, Enermar Carbon Srl, was recently set up in Italy to offer a range of value-added services to power stations, steel mills, cement plants and other major industrial users.
The company, run by the highly-experienced Cristina Pozzolo, is closely associated with Livorno-based Laviosa, which is well versed in petcoke trades, and with Swiss-based MK Carbon AG, which is part of the giant, USbased mining and trading group AMCI International. AMCI has a substantial network in northern Europe and owns Foundation Coal and Alpha National Resources, and is also a substantial shareholder in bulk shipowner Quintana Maritime....
