Sandvik’s innovative new HM150 formed rollers have been designed to meet user demand for a range of heavy-duty rollers that can offer a longer life, noise reduction and energy savings.
The formed rollers are made from tubular material via a series of cold and hot working using an innovative manufacturing process. The result is a roller that offers greater consistency and efficiency of use, and a longer life as a result of the increased shell wall thickness at the centre of the roller where the physical loads are the greatest. Forming the bearing seats as integral parts of the shell means that the bearings are better aligned and more strongly supported, which results in an extended bearing life....
