Australia’s Origin Energy has further demonstrated the heat in the CSG-to-LNG (coal seam gas to liquefied natural gas) sector by selling Conoco Phillips a halfshare of its Queensland project in a A$9.6B deal.
The establishment of the new joint venture also effectively ended BG Group’s hostile takeover for Origin and raised the value of several other JVs, including Santos/Petronas, Arrow/Shell and BG’s own venture with Queensland Gas Company....
