In some of the first FY09 third quarter reports released to the market Australian coal companies have cut profit and production expectations as demand and prices continue to fall.
Centennial Coal slashed its full year earnings guidance by nearly 25%, saying it now expects net profit for the year to 30 June of between A$65M and A$72M, after earlier indicating second half earnings would be similar to first half net profit of A$42.7M....
