Cargotec to supply 24 electric cranes for bulker series
Cargotec’s contract to supply electric-drive MacGregor cranes for a series of eight 16,900 dwt bulkers being built in China is a breakthrough order in the bulk carrier sector for the company’s new environmentally-friendly range of equipment.
The company won the order for bulk carrier electric cranes in October. The 30t SWL MacGregor GLBE cranes are destined for eight 16,900 dwt bulk carriers under construction in China for Polish shipowner Polsteam (PZM). They are scheduled for installation from the end of 2010 to 2012....
