China’s largest oil company SINOPEC has renewed operations at its refinery in Wuhan after awarding a contract in March to industrial laser technology company LASE GmbH to provide a heap volume measurement for the refinery.
The petcoke heap at the refinery has a length of 120m and a width of 35m. Two LD OEM 3100 laser scanners have been installed on the crane bridge, while an HD P 600 laser distance meter measures the position of the crane bridge. All measuring data are transferred by Ethernet to the LASE IPC which calculates the volume and the profile of the heap....
